During the month of March 2022, we gave out 5 brand new 6-person tents to 5 of our regular,Skid Row recipients. All truly needed the upgrade. Here’s what happened, as documented in our latest 9-minute documentary video, “The Trail of the Tent"

Most of the permanent Skid Row residents that Drive-By Do-Gooders serve each week are elderly, disabled or have been in Skid Row for many years while waiting for their name to be called for housing. Meanwhile, your donations help to offer tarps, blankets and better tents while they wait.

It may be hard for many of us to conceive, but for many of these folks, living in a tent on a sidewalk is far superior to where they used to live. “Camping” as it is called, is seen as the best option available right now. This may be due to hereditary poverty, mental illness, addiction, domestic violence or a combination. It shouldn’t shut void them of the chance to receive basic essentials to make it through these times.

At the moment, many un-housed adults got there because they could not acquire basic essentials for themselves. That’s where we come in, with your help. Offering water, hygiene, socks, tarps, protein and now tents can mean the difference between surviving and eventually having the chance to thrive with what’s left of their lives.

We can’t solve the crisis. We simply help in the interim. With no judgement. Just pure giving.
