Lycia has been serving the poor from her car for years. During her time as a journalist, Lycia covered many miles driving the streets of Los Angeles. The poverty she noticed compelled her to carry extra water that she could quickly hand out as she passed by. When her car could no longer fit the amount of water and wipes needed to help the homeless in her local area, she reached out to volunteers and donors. Thus, DBDG was created.
After 14 years in New York City as a writer, producer, and event organizer, Tom now serves as Marketing Coordinator for the LA-based perfume house Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, which hosted fundraisers and hygiene-product drives for DBDG in 2016 and 2017.
